Principals
Bill Yoder - Chief Executive Officer
Most recently with Acxiom Corporation, Bill Yoder has been a successful operations and marketing executive with more than 35 years of sales, marketing and financial services experience. As a Senior Vice President at Acxiom, Yoder managed a portion of the company’s Financial Services Division, overseeing for his client base all operations, business development and client profitability for the $1.3 billion per year company. His accounts provided annual client revenues in excess of $100 million. Other responsibilities include management of new account penetration, strategic initiatives, marketing and business development for new clients.
Yoder comes to Estes Point with considerable experience recruiting, mentoring and leading high performance sales teams. He has decades of experience selling to Fortune 100 companies around the world, with significant experience in European, Canadian and Asian markets. He offers a consistent track record of success, has a reputation for closing tough deals, and has been recognized for negotiating and closing long term multi-million dollar contracts.
Yoder’s broad and expansive sales/marketing and service outsourcing experience closely matches Estes Point’s strategic goals. He has demonstrated a remarkable ability to build strong relationships with key client executives, understands business challenges, has become an integrated partner and key member of numerous enterprise development programs. He is a high- end performer with extensive contacts throughout Watch House-targeted industries.
Yoder is a former District Account Manager with ALLTELL Information Services and a former Senior Vice President with SAVERS Federal Savings and Loan.
He holds a BBA from the University of Wisconsin and is a graduate of the Harvard University Business School’s Professional Management Development Program.
Charles Freyermuth - Executive Vice-President, Operations
Chuck Freyermuth has played a significant role in US law enforcement for nearly 30 years. He began his career as a police officer in Lincoln, Nebraska, and quickly rose to the rank of Narcotics Investigator where he was decorated and officially recognized for valor and life saving. As a Special Agent with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms, Freyermuth participated in numerous national and historic events, including the stand-offs in Waco, Texas, and Ruby Ridge, Idaho, the first World Trade Center bombing, and the downing of TWA Flight 800.
In 1999 he was recruited to the Department of Housing and Urban Development as an expert in "use of force," combating violent crime using firearm, defensive tactics, tactical medical and less than lethal force options. He rose to become Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Rocky Mountain Region.
Prior to joining Watch House International, Freyermuth worked as Deputy Director of Operations for Homeland Security Corporation, providing security management and training services inside the United States and abroad. He was instrumental in winning the first $5 billion training contract in US history and played an important role in equipping the US aviation industry to respond to the post-9/11 terrorist threat, heading up use of force training for Federal Flight Deck Officers and developing a defensive tactics training program for the Department of Homeland Security.
Freyermuth, a decorated former Army helicopter pilot with combat experience in El Salvador, brings an extraordinarily diverse skill set to Watch House. He combines an encyclopedic knowledge of government compliance issues with hands-on leadership experience in high-risk situations and an invaluable background in security-related training. He has a BA in Criminal Justice and is currently pursuing an MBA.
Chief Financial Officer
Our Chief Financial Officer will join the officer team later in 2008 when revenue demands and supports a full-time position. This individual brings a strong mix of financial management, business development and deal-making negotiation skills to the role of chief financial officer. After beginning a career in Big Four accounting and completing his CPA certification in 1986, this individual has demonstrated success for over 20 years in a number of financial, business management and business development roles.
Stephen Ijames - Executive Vice-President, Training
Major Stephen Ijames of the Springfield, Missouri, Police Department gained more than 30 years law enforcement experience before joining Watch House as director of its training division. As a graduate of the FBI's prestigious National Academy and internationally renowned expert in all aspects of law enforcement operations, Ijames has worked in more than 30 countries on five continents. He has spent considerable periods of time in some of the most dangerous places on earth, including Somalia, Uganda, Tanzania, Yemen and Bosnia. He has developed close, personal relationships with senior government officials including the chief of the 8,000- member United Nations police force.
Ijames has an intimate, in-depth understanding of Department of State, Department of Defense, Department of Justice and similar agency protocols with specific expertise in CIVPOL and ICITAP programs. He is certified as a lead instructor with both the National Tactical Officers Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police.
Ijames is a highly sought after expert in the field of less lethal force. He has developed widely used curriculums for diverse police tactics including basic investigations, leadership and management sciences, SWAT tactics and crisis response. He has defended numerous police agencies in civil litigation, is a regular speaker on all aspects of less lethal force, often providing keynote or featured presentations on crowd control, impact projectiles and non-lethal technologies. Prior to joining Watch House International, Ijames supervised more than 350 police personnel, involved in all facets of uniformed police patrol and plainclothes detective investigations.
He founded the Springfield Police Department's Crisis Action Team (CAT), helped develop numerous community policing initiatives and served as an adjunct criminal justice professor at three universities. Ijames is a former board member of the National Tactical Officers Association, among numerous trade and professional groups, has published ground-breaking articles in numerous periodicals and speaks regularly to corporate and government groups around the world.
Ijames is a highly sought-after security consultant, with experience in all aspects of public and private sector operations. Under his command, the Springfield, Missouri, CAT team executed more than 2,000 search warrants, resolved 100 barricaded suspect incidents and performed seven hostage rescues. He was part of the Counter-Terror and Dignitary Protection advance team that assessed site, driver and venue security for the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, has participated in dozens of life-threatening crises, and remains one of this country's most respected law enforcement officials. He has a Masters degree in Public Administration.
Jeff Kohler - Officer
Jeff Kohler is a successful aviation entrepreneur whose previous professional career experience brings new marketing dimensions to the aviation projects and services he manages. He has been flying since 1973, and is currently a Captain for Frontier Airlines, flying Airbus 319/318 airliners, and one of 3 airline pilots nationwide selected as a Homeland Security Federal Flight Deck Officer (FFDO) Firearms Instructor. Mr. Kohler is a current, qualified, and type-rated Airline Transport Pilot with more than 14,000 hours’ flight experience; ATP Single and Multiengine Land and Sea; type ratings in Airbus 320 / 319 / 318, Boeing 737, and Citation I, II, and V jet aircraft. FAA Certificated Flight Instructor for 17 years.
His company, Advanced Synergy Technologies, Inc., specializes in Research and Development of Aerodynamic platforms for Special Operations, National Defense, and Law Enforcement applications, with a special focus on Unmanned Aircraft Systems. AST is a member of the National Defense Industrial Association, Special Operations Warrior Foundation, and several other organizations dedicated to supporting US interests.
His previous company, Creative Consultants / Airspeed Design Group, specialized in providing aviation marketing services and aviation security consulting since 1990, and was active in the American Society for Industrial Security (ASIS). Prior to becoming a part 121 airline pilot, Mr. Kohler was a Corporate pilot, flying high-profile U.S. government and business leaders throughout North America, Central and South America, and Europe, in Citation V and Challenger 600 private jet aircraft. Many of these passengers were targeted with credible and specific kidnapping and assassination threats, and Mr. Kohler and his business partner Paul Jumes developed highly effective airport-specific threat assessment methods, aircraft security SOPs, and contingency planning for both pilots and ground security teams. In more than 7 years of flying high-profile US Officials, foreign dignitaries, and notable US business leaders, these methods were totally effective in preventing attacks on passngers on board these flights.
From these core competencies and extensive experience in both corporate aviation and airline operations, Mr. Kohler understands how to translate aviation customers’ operational and security needs into new products and services that will help Estes Point develop innovative parallel revenue streams.
Before aviation, Mr. Kohler was a successful business and advertising agency executive in the Chicago area, and held professional positions as Executive Vice President, Strategic Planning and Development; Vice-President, Advertising; Senior Creative Director; Art Director, Media Planner, Graphic Designer, and Copywriter. As a graphic designer, Mr. Kohler received several nationwide design awards. Prior to his career in advertising, Mr. Kohler was also a Medical Illustrator, specializing in medical textbook illustration of hand surgery, brain surgery, and thoracic surgery. While an active member of the Midwest Medical Illustrators’ Association, he was elected to offices of Vice-President and President. He graduated from Carleton College, BA with honors in Medical Illustration.
